“Happily, most of the villages level vineyards in Puligny were not as badly frosted as the premier crus in April of 2021, so at least the Drouhins are able to offer this excellent bottling from the commune. The bouquet is absolutely emblematic of Puligny-Montrachet, jumping from the glass in a mix of pear, white peach, apple blossom, fresh almond, a gorgeous base of chalky soil tones and a gentle touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is bright, focused and full, with lovely depth at the core, bouncy acids, lovely cut and complexity and a long, seamlessly balanced and elegant finish. Fine juice. 2023-2045+.”
