The 2011 Meursault Les Luchets is a wine that I have not tasted since just after bottling. It is a lucid straw color. The nose is fully mature with beeswax and honeysuckle scents, touches of desiccated orange peel and shucked oyster shell following through with further aeration. The palate is well balanced with a powerful entry. Slightly resinous in texture, it is underpinned by a fine bead of acidity and a touch of spice, leading into a long, persistent finish. Excellent. Tasted at Domaine Guy Roulot. - VM

A cooler floral style to a wine that has a fine, taut, citrusy note pith. The oak is nicely integrated and the mealy elements add savory interest. The palate has terrific layering and is smooth and supple; it shows yellow citrus fruits, pith and is bold with some very nicely layered and textural moments. Terrific. - JS

The 2011 Meursault Luchets has a much rockier, mineral-driven nose with a faint scent of shucked oyster shell. The palate is well-balanced: a citric drive at the beginning, a very harmonious middle and a peacock’s tail of mineral-rich fruit fanning out gloriously on the finish. Superb. - WA
