Healthy dark red. Sappy, deep, showy aromas of raspberry, exotic spices, minerals and crushed rock. Densely packed and creamy but almost magically light on its feet in the early going. Wonderful subtlety and restrained sweetness to the flavors of dark berries, red licorice, bitter chocolate and crushed stone. The tannins are in perfect harmony on the very long, ripe back end. Great potential here.
