Macallan Edition Series Captures Buyer’s Attention

Three of the Top Lots in Acker Distilled July Spirits Auction:
Lot 50: 4 bottles Karuizawa - Cask Strength 1st to 4th Releases - $7,470
Lot 12: 1 bottle Colonel E.H. Taylor - Warehouse C Tornado Surviving - $9,960
Lot 102: Complete Macallan Edition Series 1-6 - $3,984
Acker enjoyed a successful sale on July 19th in New York to kick off “Acker Distilled” monthly spirits auctions. The live auction at Brandy Library in NYC saw more than 100 active participants and Acker was thrilled with both the turnout and the results. A few highlights from the day include a collectible bottle of Colonel EH Taylor Warehouse C Tornado Surviving, which sold for $9,960, a set of 1st to 4th Release Karuizawa Cask Strength which rang in at $7,470, and a complete set of Macallan Edition Series that garnered $3,984.
“It’s amazing to see the demand continue to grow for great bottles of whiskey,” commented Acker Director of Spirits, Ethan Kelly. “With an ample amount of interested buyers and an abundance of great selections, we expect to see continued success and sustained growth.”
The next “Acker Distilled” monthly spirits auction will take place on Tuesday, August 24th in New York. The auction season continues in Delaware on September 9th-10th and Hong Kong on September 24th-25th. Acker is currently accepting wines for its Fall “live online” auctions, with weekly web auctions closing every week and spirits auctions closing monthly.
